7. Container desiccants
1. Introduction
HY container desiccants are the new generations of transport protection for the reduction of dew point and control of condensation. Their innovative designs allow water vapor to enter the interior of the bag easily and will not leak, escape or spill.
There are two types. One is Fiber-type, the other is Mineral-type.
2. Characteristics
- Fiber-type
- Natureal plant fiber sheet, 100% degradable, safe and secure to human body and environment
- Adsorption rate can reach 120% of its own weight (37℃,90%RH)
- Specially designed for saving space and convenient use in container. Fiber-type One has a plastic hook (picture 1), easily hung up in container.

Fiber-type Two is a folding one(picture 2). When used, it can be outspread as a blanket to cover on top of the cargoes in container, shown as picture 3.

4)? Cover stock (bag material) is a special non-woven developed by ourselves, which has good permeability for moisture, whereas not reverse water from inside.

Moistureproof? in Container
If a container is loaded during high temperatures and the relative humidity is about 80%-90%, then the possibility of condensation occurring is substantial when the temperature is begins to drop. HY container desiccant helps keep the dew point temperature below the actual temperature, even when the actual temperature drops within the shipping container due to temperature fluctuation. “Dew Point Temperature” is the temperature at which water vapor begins to condense onto a surface forming liquid water. The liquid that results inside a container is called “Container Rain”. Container rain will occur if the surface temperature of an object is equal or lower than the dew point temperature. If the relative humidity is lowed with the absorbing properties of HY container desiccant, the dew point temperature is also lowered, stopping container rain.
